Final Fantasy VII Rebirth producer Yoshinori Kitase has teased a “big announcement” about Final Fantasy in 2023, but “not related to Final Fantasy VII”.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth producer Yoshinori Kitase has teased a “big announcement” about Final Fantasy in 2023, but “not related to Final Fantasy VII”.

Happy New Year to you all.
Final Fantasy XVI will be released this year, which means Yoshi-P needs your support now more than ever. Support him as he gives his all to complete it!
I’m sure many of your collective imaginations are running wild trying to imagine how we’ll recreate some of the game’s most iconic scenes, and we’ll have more to share about that when the time is right.
There are also other big announcements not related to Final Fantasy VII that I can’t say yet.
Rest assured that we are working hard to ensure 2023 is the most exciting year yet.
Yoshinori Kitase, Producer of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
The remake version of Final Fantasy IX and the remastered version of Final Fantasy Tactics appeared in the list of games leaked by NVIDIA in September 2021.
Several games from the leak have already been announced, most notably for Square Enix:
