Deceit 2 Description
Deceit 2 is the long-awaited continuation of the beloved social horror survival game Deceit. Along with all-new content, revamped characters, and gameplay innovations, Deceit 2 will also mark the franchise’s debut on consoles, with significant graphical enhancements.
The original Deceit, released in 2017 and downloaded by over 13 million players, was one of the pioneering games in the asymmetrical social horror genre popularized by Deceit, Among Us, and Dead by Daylight.
Deceit 2 will be an evolution for asymmetrical horror gameplay, bringing an authentic eerie atmosphere that permeates every aspect of the game. Deceit 2 will feature a major overhaul to the gameplay mechanics that will create a more tense and suspicious atmosphere for players as they try to figure out which of their friends is the Infected Terror stalking them.
Deceit 2’s combat will feature new items and abilities to empower innocent people as they defend themselves from the Infected, as well as interactive maps that create more intense chases. Deceit 2 will also offer fans narrative content featuring new and returning characters from the original Deceit, following the story of a mysterious ritual with blood and gimmicks in a multidimensional fight for survival.
The game’s visuals also got a major makeover thanks to Unreal Engine 5, featuring more detailed characters and monstrous monsters, as well as higher-fidelity map textures.
The player count has been increased to 9 players, offering more opportunities for strategy, but more chances that someone will become Infected as well. Players can also trade with the new character “The Peddler” for weapons, items, and clues about players becoming Infected.
Release in 2023

- Increased Player Count – Deceit 2 expands the player limit from six to nine players. The map and gameplay have been redesigned to accommodate larger matches.

- Three New Characters – A new set of characters joined the roster.
- Enhanced Story Content – The detailed backstory and expanded lore wrap characters and players into a richer universe.
- Rich Investigation Mechanics – New items, hints, and abilities enhance the investigative gameplay.
Deceit 2 will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam) in 2023.
