XSEED Games, Marvelous Europe, MAGES. and Team GrisGris have announced that Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion will release on consoles and PC in fall 2024.

Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion follows three high school friends; Haruka Nanami, Nemu Takanashi, and Maria Hitsugi, as they explore Amare Est Vivere Hospital, putting local urban legends to the test as streamer Nemu looks to increase her subscriber count.
Unfortunately for the three girls, the legend of “Ayame’s Mercy” was true, and they triggered a tens of -year-old curse that sent them to the dark realm.
Together they must avoid Ayame Kirishima’s vengeful spirit and other horrors from the hospital’s dark past as they search for a way to remove Ayame’s curse once and for all.
The cult classic Japanese horror franchise returns with new characters, a new setting, a terrifying new curse, and a new look that delivers even more thrills and chills!
Players can freely explore the fully 3D-rendered halls of Amare Est Vivere Hospital in third-person perspective and, for those brave enough to take a closer look, as they try to keep the girls alive.
This new perspective complements the franchise’s visual novel-style storytelling, blending updated visuals with chilling descriptions and intriguing binaural audio accompanied by original Japanese voiceovers.
Featuring 6 chapters, with 8 additional scenarios and plenty of Wrong Ends for players to discover as they uncover the truth behind “Ayame’s Mercy” and escape with their lives, this game is the perfect entry point for new horror fans while still keeping old fans on the edge of their seats.
The game will release on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) in fall 2024.
