Chad Stahelski wants Ghost of Tsushima to get a sequel and TV series
Speaking with Comic Book Movie, Chad Stahelski has discussed how to transfer a dozen-hour video game story into a movie.
In addition, Stahelski teased that Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions might be thinking of making more than one movie for Ghost of Tsushima.
It’s just: how do you pack that much information into a feature that can go on to other features or TV projects or platforms for that matter?
The key is not, “Do we have good material?” We know we have good material. It’s how to make it palpable on any platform, you know, how do we make a great 2 or 2.5 hour movie out of this?
[How do we] make it satisfying and leave it open to develop further from there? That’s the real challenge: how to take something that’s really great and bring it to a watchable level.

Stahelski also said that the film Ghost of Tsushima which was announced in March 2021 is now “in heavy development”.
I loved the props, the look, and the game story of Jin Sakai. It is what I would say is the most anti-samurai movie out there because of the storyline, the themes in it, and the journey that Jin Sakai goes through.
