Activision also confirmed that an in-depth look at the game’s gameplay and product announcement will follow at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 10, 2024.

If the information from the old report is correct, then Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will release on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25, 2024. The game will also most likely be present on Game Pass.

In November 2023, Windows Central reported that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be set in the early 1990s during the Gulf War with a strong focus on the CIA.

Known as “Project Cerberus”, the game will seek to “explore a nuanced narrative of the Gulf War, with a critical focus on the different participants in the conflict”.

According to Windows Central, the game will “lean on more traditional military combat technology and familiar Black Ops technology as opposed to the current and future technology we’ve seen from Modern Warfare and some other Call of Duty games”.

In February 2024, Insider Gaming reported that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will utilize an open-world campaign and have players navigate maps more akin to the Far Cry franchise, with some linear missions to be integrated into the game.

Insider Gaming also added that players will see the return of several Call of Duty characters : Black Ops, including Adler.
