Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have announced that Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will release on consoles and PC in 2023.

Description of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
A mysterious new substance was discovered on the remote planet Rubicon 3. As an energy source, it was expected to dramatically improve human technology and communication capabilities. Instead, it caused a catastrophe that engulfed the planet and surrounding stars in flames and storms, forming the Burning Star System.
Almost half a century later, the same substance reappeared on Rubicon 3, a planet now contaminated and covered by the disaster.
Extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups fight for control of the substance. Players infiltrate Rubicon as independent mercenaries and find themselves in a struggle for the substance with other corporations and factions.
Hidetaka Miyazaki will be involved as the early game director of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. Based on early development, Masaru Yamamura has taken over as the game’s director.
Release in 2023
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will offer a game experience based on FromSoftware’s mech game lore developed over 25 years of developing games in the franchise, but now introduces the innovative gameplay found in the developer’s latest action game. The new JuduSourcel Armored Core will combine these elements into thrilling action that only mechas can perform. This game promises to be a unique entry in the mech action game genre.
In Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, players will be able to freely move through massive three-dimensional environments with rapid maneuverability while experiencing immersive vehicular combat. The signature of FromSoftware’s carefully crafted game design, the game will feature challenging and memorable battles along with a satisfying progression system and deep gameplay, all now supported by assembling mechs and battling huge bosses. Players will feel a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment as they overcome difficult situations and enjoy momentary victories, and perhaps improve their standing, before facing the next challenge.
