After Us Release Date and Description

Play as Gaia, the Spirit of Life, and explore stunning platforming environments in an abstract world to save the souls of extinct animals. Bring these creatures back to life after learning their final fate: the last whale to be harpooned, the last eagle to be caged, the last deer to be hunted, and more, while you survive encounters with dangerous, oil-covered Devourers that roam the desert in search of any remaining life.

In this emotional journey from the creators of Arise: A Simple Story, you alone can restore life on this planet.

Some key features:

• Gaia’s Journey – The last of the animals have died and Mother has used all her Life Force to save their souls which are now trapped inside their containers. Gaia’s mission is to rescue each of their souls and bring them back to Mother’s Ark. Gaia’s traversal abilities will let you slide, jump and run to explore new areas and avoid deadly traps, while her special gifts will give you the power to clean up the oil that’s consuming the world, face the hungry Devourers and free the souls.
• A Vast, Surrealistic World – See through the eyes of Gaia, a desolate landscape that depicts the destructive relationship between man and nature in a beautiful demonstration of abstract art. From dying forests to crumbling urban hearts, through parched seabeds and polluted skies, each environment will offer a new challenge for Gaia to face and will present a different version of the devastation wrought by the Devourers as she spreads life and beauty in her path.

After Us will release on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC (Steam) on May 23, 2023.
