Tepat hari ini, bersamaan dengan mulainya Steam Winter Sale, Valve resmi mengumumkan nominasi untuk acara mereka. Acara tahunan yang secara rutin mereka gelar ini memang menjadi salah satu ajang penghargaan game paling ditunggu oleh gamer PC.
Yang jadi pembeda Steam Awards sendiri adalah hampir 100% suara berasal dari gamer. Ini tentu berbeda dengan acara lainnya yang lebih memiliki suara 90% dari media dan gamer hanya 10%. Untuk nominasi Game of The Year sendiri diisi oleh Death Stranding, Red Dead Redemption 2, Hades, Doom Eternal dan Fall Guys.
